Rob Beardsley is the Founder and CEO of LSCRE, a fully vertically integrated multifamily owner operator with over 5,000 apartment homes under management. Since founding the firm in 2018, he has led the acquisition, financing, and management of more than $800 million in apartment investments, partnering with over 400 repeat investors to build long-term wealth through institutional-quality real estate. Under Rob’s leadership, LSCRE has grown into a 200+ person organization encompassing in-house property management, construction, accounting, and asset management. The firm has raised more than $250 million in equity from family offices, private equity firms, and high-net-worth investors, and secured over $600 million in debt financing from Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and private lenders. LSCRE’s realized investments include multiple dispositions with gross IRRs exceeding 30%. Rob is also a recognized thought leader in the multifamily space. He has authored two bestselling books – The Definitive Guide to Underwriting Multifamily Acquisitions and Structuring and Raising Debt & Equity for Real Estate – which have sold more than 30,000 copies and are widely used by investors and educators as reference materials. He is a frequent keynote and panel speaker at national industry conferences, where he covers topics such as capital formation, underwriting, and platform building. Born in Silicon Valley, Rob studied Information Systems at Carnegie Mellon University, earning High Honors before leaving to pursue LSCRE full-time after closing his first acquisition, a 261-unit community in Houston. Today, he continues to lead the firm’s strategic growth, focusing on disciplined underwriting, investor partnership, and long-term value creation across the multifamily sector.
