He leads Lone Star Capital's in-house property and construction management division, Lone Star Communities, ensuring excellence in renovation, lease-up, and ongoing management. Rob has sold over 30,000 copies of his two books on commercial real estate. He is a sought-after speaker at industry conferences nationwide and hosts the popular Lone Star Capital podcast.
Paul Hutchinson, is known worldwide for his professional accomplishments and for the profound impact he is making on the lives of millions. Paul is a founding partner of Bridge Investment Group Partners, LLC, the predecessor to BRDG on the NYSE. He played an active role in growing the company to over $20 billion in AUM (assets under management) by 2019. Paul is the primary investor and Executive Producer of the film “Sound of Freedom''. The film highlights one of the largest child rescue missions in history – with over 120 victims being liberated – in which Paul himself held a pivotal role. In 2017 Paul founded the Child Liberation Foundation, and has led or held a critical role in over 70 undercover rescue missions in 15 countries. Through his foundation, and others that he has helped to start and fund, over 5,000 children have now been liberated.
J.C. Clemens Jr. is Chief Production Officer for Flagship Capital Partners, where he oversees debt and equity production and originations. Clemens joined Flagship in early 2017 and specializes in creating customized capital structures for clients acquiring commercial real estate properties of all asset types. At Flagship, Clemens manages all production activities through Flagship’s direct lending facilities, and preferred, joint-venture, and general partner co-invest equity for Flagship’s various fund vehicles. In addition to his production role, Clemens assists in asset and fund management for each of Flagship Capital Partners’ funding facilities. Prior to joining Flagship, Clemens spent over six years at HFF, L.P. (now JLL) in Houston, working in both the capital markets and investment sales divisions. While at HFF, Clemens participated in and closed transactions exceeding $4.85 billion in value. Clemens was directly involved in approximately 40 separate sales transactions across a full range of asset types and quality levels, from mixed-use Class A urban core properties to Class C suburban apartment communities. In addition to multifamily investment sales, Clemens and his team brokered debt and equity placements on nearly 80 separate assets across all product lines and property types, including retail, industrial, office, and mixed-use projects across the United States.
In 2016, Nate founded Juniper Capital Group after earning a degree in Finance and spending numerous years developing his analytical skills working with various companies. By recruiting like-minded professionals, he has been able to grow his company and work with an array of clients from first-time to seasoned buyers and sellers. Having analyzed and closed over a billion dollars in deals, Nate has garnered awards and recognition as one of the Commercial Observers budding 25 under 35, a Crain’s Rising Stars, a Next Generation Honoree (Connect New York), and in the 2019 Ones to Watch by NYREJ. Nate has appeared in numerous real estate publications such as the Mann Report, RE Business, NYREJ and several others.
Christopher S. Méndez is a Managing Director of Pearlmark based in New York, with responsibility for overseeing the firm’s equity investment activities including sourcing, underwriting, and executing transactions for Pearlmark’s investment vehicles. Prior to joining Pearlmark, Mr. Méndez served as Director and Co-Head of US Investments at Madison International Realty. Prior to joining Madison, Mr. Méndez worked for Morgan Stanley Real Estate, where he engaged in both investment banking and principal investing transactions. Mr. Méndez earned his BS from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University and his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition, Mr. Méndez is a CFA charterholder, CIPM certificant, CCIM, and a member of the CFA Society New York.
Will Harris is a member of the real estate investment team at Franklin Templeton where he focuses on sourcing and underwriting real estate equity, preferred equity, and debt investment opportunities in the US, Europe, and Asia.
Prior to joining Franklin Templeton, Will worked at AIP Asset Management in Seoul, South Korea where he was a key team member for $1 billion of real estate acquisitions and contributor to over $2 billion of other real estate debt and equity transactions globally. His experience includes analyzing investments across the capital stack, structuring domestic and international real estate joint ventures, and fundraising from institutional investors in Asia and Europe.
Will holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California with a minor in Korean Studies and an M.S. in Real Estate Development from Columbia University.
Rob oversees acquisitions and capital markets for Lone Star Capital and has acquired over $600M of multifamily real estate. He has evaluated thousands of opportunities using proprietary underwriting models and published the number one book on multifamily underwriting, The Definitive Guide to Underwriting Multifamily Acquisitions. He has written over 50 articles about underwriting, deal structures, and capital markets and hosts the Capital Spotlight podcast, which is focused on interviewing institutional investors.
